Maya Abdominal Therapy is an ancient technique that has been practiced for thousands of years. It’s a non-invasive, external, nurturing treatment of the abdominal and pelvic area that gently guides internal organs into their appropriate anatomical positions of optimal health and well-being. When the internal organs are not in their ideal locations, it leads to improper flow of blood, lymph and chi flow resulting in a lot of different reproductive and digestive ailments.

What to expect during an initial visit:
The initial Maya Abdominal Therapy session lasts two hours. After booking an appointment I will send you an intake form. Know that it’s a little burly and you may want to give yourself some time to fill it out. If you’re able to have the intake form printed and filled out before your session, it will allow for more time to chat and for bodywork.
The first appointment consists of:
Reviewing your personal health history, current health care needs and goals
Abdominal massage focused on aligning reproductive and abdominal organs
Evaluation and application of structural alignment of hips and sacrum
Being taught self-care home techniques to enhance the professional treatment session
Recommendation of complementary modalities
